You know recently in a discussion about children's health, I heard that children crave sweets as a safety mechanism. Poison foods, berries, plants, etc. had kind of a bitter taste to them. Identifying sweet foods therefore saved the lives of primitive people. Current day says avoid the sweets which are a natural craving. Because we have a brain, we can learn to use it in such a way as adapting to the new discoveries in modern health. Intellectually we know that sweets are okay in moderation. We also know that what women are and were expected to be an do are two different things. The world has changed and in order to survive, we must change with it. Again, God gave us a brain. Survival today suggests that there is a two income family for most of us. I don't mean go out and get a job to prove your womanhood. I mean survive. I do believe that in my case, I would not have survived deep depressive states had I not been out in the world being a part of it. I love my children and my house, and I have everything in life I could ever want. I have them because God gave me the forsight to acheive them and to keep them sacred. I say with the grace of God, adapt to the new world all you woman out there. Embrace what you can and what you can't. There is always another alternative.
